The privatization of water was a requirement of the International Monetary Fund for Bolivia to be able to pay its debts to the international institution
Film recalls that for 17 years Bolivia lived the Water War, a direct consequence of the privatization of water, including the privatization of rainwater. This was a requirement of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, to negotiate Bolivia's foreign debt.
Unfortunately this is a strategy that is intensifying and is today the order of the day for many governments, under the "justification" of financial debts. And it is not disputed whether or not these debts are legitimate.

CALL TO THE PEOPLE FOR THE ALTERNATIVE WORLD WATER FORUM - FAMA2018
The Alternative World Water Forum will take place on March 17 – 22th 2018 in Brasilia – Brazil -, at the University of Brasilia’s campus.
It is a democratic event aiming to gather organisations and social movements from all over the world that struggle in defence of water as an elementary right to life.
